Traditional Textile Design Competition

Traditional Textile Design Competition ‘Marine Life’ for ASEAN, Korea, Japan, China and Australia Youth

Registration:

This competition is open for public in ages of 18-35 years from ASEAN country + 4 (Korea, Jepang, Cina dan Australia)
The design made for this competition is must representing traditional textil from participant country/province.
Abstract submission for narratively telling what is the meaning of the design inrelevance with maritim thematic is a must (english, 3000 words).
Both design (A3 size, Jpg format) and abstract must be submitted not more than 16th April 2009.

Selection Process:

1. SELECTION PHASE I (10th Maret-16th April 2009)

STAGE I: Publication and Design Collecting (10 Maret – 16 April 2009)
It is to announce if registration for competition is open while collecting process of design from participant. Abstract and soft copy of design in A3 size with Marine Live theme should submitted before 16th April 2009.

STAGE 2: Selection I (17th-19th April 2009)
Selected abstract and design will announce based on maritime live concept represented on it.

2. SELCETION PHASE 2

STAGE3: (20th April – 17th Mei 2009)
The selected design is need to apply on textile. The committee will call back the designer for working on it. The assessment of best design will focus on how the implement the design to textile. 7 copied (30x30cm) of implemented design must be sent by post to committee before 17th Mei 2009.

STAGE 4: Textile Distribution (18-20 Mei 2009), Judgment( 21-22 Mei 2009) and Announcement (22 May 2009)

The collected textile will sent to the committee of the judged that will elect the best design to be announce for 10 nomine in 22nd May 2009 on Gala Dinner as closing ceremony for the expo and the conference.

Prize
Won total Grand of US $ 14.500 (for best 3 and 7 nominee)
