Rickrolling: An internet joke in which a URL claiming to be relevant to the topic at hand but the end user lands to the classic Rick Astley song’s video “Never Gonna Give You Up”.

History: The joke was first started at 4chan, famous imageboard website, back in 2007 but lived for a brief period. But by May, 2008 it became an internet phenomenon even helping it achieve mass media recognition.

Now, who hasn’t heard of the iPhone? Called by many as the revolutionary phone, it sure caused a buzz with the teenagers and developers with its huge collection of applications in the so-called “App Store”.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the term “Jailbreak”, just in case you have been living under a rock all this time, Jailbreaking means to run unofficial codes(layman term: applications) on your iPhone which have not been authorized by Apple.

According to my news sources, Australian jailbroken iPhone users are said to have been affected by the first of its kind, iPhone worm. The worm, once it infects your iPhone, changes your wallpaper to Rick Astley with the lyrics “ikee is never going to give you up”. Hence, the title “iPhones get rickrolled”.

Users who haven’t jailbroken their device have nothing to worry about and the ones who have, you must be familiar with the SSH application, turn it off when not in use and change the default password.

You can do so by going into Cydia and installing the MobileTerminal app and use the passwd command to change your password.
