How To Keep Makeup Brushes Free Of Germs

To prevent your skin from getting breakouts it is always best to take precautions. One of the most important step you can do for this is to keep your makeup brushes clean so when you use them your skin do not come in contact with acne causing germs. The steps I am providing here are easy to follow and of course it is all under budget.

Things Required:

Antibacterial hand soap

A bowl or a tiny bucket

Warm water

Clean towel

A dry place

Any lead container (must be big enough for brushes )

Instructions:

Step 1: First of all, keep the brushes under running water for a while. This you can do by holding each with your hand while the water falls over its bristles. Remember to gently squeeze the bristles so that the makeup residue to comes out. Another thing you must remember is that when you are squeezing them you need to run your fingers from top to bottom so the bristles do not lose their shapes.

Step 2: Now in the bowl make foam out of hand soap and warm water. Here try to use less than 4 drops of hand soap. We are basically using hand soap because it is far gentler than hair shampoo and also it has germ-fighting agent.

Step 3: Place your brushes in this bowl and let them sit for half an hour.

Step 4: Once half an hour is over rinse the brushes in water again. Squeeze them gently so the soap and additional makeup residue come out of them.

Step 5: With a towel pat them dry. Once the water has been out of the brushes place them under the towel for about one day in a dry place.

Step 6: Once dried, place them inside a lead container. We are basically using a lead container here because we want to keep the brushes away from blemish and infection causing dust particles.
