In this article we are going to discuss about homemade gift ideas for boyfriends or husbands, and I will be showing what my girlfriend gave me on Valentine’s Day 2007.

My girlfriend crafted a wooden house from me.

I supposed it was those wooden craft gifts which we can buy at the gift shop, and the it has instructions on how to fix it up.

These gifts have premade parts, so ladies out there, don’t try to craft a house out of a wooden log!

As we all can see, she painted the house in purple. As she has little experience in painting, the color wasn’t exactly uniform throughout the house.

However it was pretty sweet of her to do all that for me. When I first saw it, I really applaud her love and determination into crafting something for me.

I always thought wooden crafts belong to the boys and I never expected a wooden house from my girlfriend. Pretty amazing gift actually.

More surprises from the gift

My girlfriend gave me this gift exactly 7 days before Valentine’s Day.

There are 7 rolls of colored paper in the house, and as you can see on the right, all these colored paper are resting on the windows of the house.

I am not allowed to open them all at once. All the colored paper are numbered, and only with each passing day I am allowed to open up one message to look at.

Basically, all the messages in the colored papers are little snipplets of how we know and got together as a couple, and if we put them all together, it forms a whole summary. So the whole message is completed only on Valentine’s Day.

A pretty neat gift isn’t it?

This is a good gift for your one year anniversary gift for your boyfriend or husband, or for a birthday gift, or for a Christmas gift. Use other ideas to decorate the wooden house, or spice up the messages in a different way and hide the messages within the gift.

Especially for Christmas gift for your boyfriend or husband, you could add Christmas decorations to the wooden house.

It shouldn’t be expensive, as my girlfriend must have bought it at the local gift or crafts shop. I do not know and can’t find exact price of it.

Well, just hop down to your nearest craft or gifts shop and take a look.
